Early 1940's Grossett and Dunlap Edition of “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel Defoe. Undated, however, has notice on the title page stating it was published under wartime conditions when paper was restricted for war efforts. Complete and unabridged. Daniel Defoe relates the tale of an English sailor marooned on a desert island for nearly three decades. An ordinary man struggling to survive in extraordinary circumstances, Robinson Crusoe wrestles with fate and the nature of God.
This copy is in very good condition with minor shelf wear to the edges and corners of the cover, some browning of the pages, slightly hinged toward the middle of the book, and some writing on the title page (pictured). There does not appear to be any missing or torn pages. The book measures 7 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" across the front cover.
