Two Colonial Williamsburg Solid Brass Candelabra Wall Sconces marked CW 16-3
PLEASE NOTE: These are high quality American construction from the 1970s with brazed joins on the solid, heavy brass of these very desirable sconces. These are cut and fabricated by hand in the tradition of fine craftsmanship.
Two-part Construction--candle holder arm is removable from the wall support and fits in a notched arm on the support. It can be carried around the house or else stay attached to the stationary fixture. The “capitals” or holder cups take a standard size taper candle.
Each one is marked on the back with the original Virginia Metalcrafters logo, the Colonial Williamsburg logo, and serial number C-W 16-3 (see photos)
Look at the detail of the top of the support to see the stylized duck heads and other fine handmade details on the 18th-century style sconce pair. These are NOT recent sand cast versions--no screws or flimsy attachments.
Condition:
Very good, solid condition - Minor signs of light household use and age
Minor tarnishing as shown. These sconces online have an overall soft antique brass patina and I leave it up to the new owner to polish or leave as is.
