FACT online AND FICTION:
FACT: My little eye spotted this wonderful impressionist landscape painting at an estate sale. Signed J. Mullen, with no date, judging from the look of the canvas on the back I guess it to be mid century. It is acrylic and rendered in a confident style that tells me this painter was professional, or, at the very least, an accomplished amateur.
The colors are lovely: turquoise, deep greens, light greens.
Thus is a lovely piece, in good vintage condition.

FICTION: The bridge in the forest is where she last laid eyes on him, and where he disappeared, and where her heart endured a wound that never did heal. 50 years later Jackie continued in her studio, painting the bridge, resurrecting love.
