A very unusual heavy and solid antique French hand carved wooden basket frame that has rope woven around huge blunt topped iron nails and a rigid iron chain handle, with a rope bound wooden nailed top handle. An absolutely unique piece, solidly made tolast a life time. A fabulous rustic basket for a country house / farmhouse kitchen to store food produce or use for gathering eggs, fruit or vegetables/herbs. This basket most probably originates from the Normandy region of France.

CONDITION
Very good antique condition. No damage noted. Some rusting spots on the metal and nails. It will be cleaned prior to shipping.
