ABOUT THE WOOL:
The wool is 100% European Merino sheep wool, one of the finest and softest wools in the world.
It does not itch or irritate your skin, on the contrary, it feels incredibly soft and pleasant.
The wool yarn is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and transports moisture away from your skin.
The wool is also heat regulating.
The wool is manufactured in the EU by a certified company. The wool comes from the merino sheep and is manufactured in an animal-friendly way. This means that the sheep do not undergo any mulesing treatment.
The blanket is a gentle product made of natural merino wool. Like every wool, it is normal that the plaid will give some polls or that the fibers will shed lightly. This is normal and doesn't indicate any error. If you want, you can cut them off. Don't pull, you can pull too much. With time wool felts itself and that will decrease the shedding. With proper care, the blanket will stay perfect for a long time.

MAINTENANCE:
Wool has a high self-cleaning ability because it naturally contains lanolin (wool grease). Letting the plaid air outside on a rack (lying flat), preferably on a freezing cold morning, is therefore usually sufficient. You can also have your super-thick knit or plaid cleaned at the dry cleaners. Or you can wash it yourself. Then preferably by hand with a mild wool detergent such as Eucalan and lukewarm water. Move the wool as little as possible, otherwise, you run the risk of it to felt. Don't wring it out or anything. Press the water out and let it dry laying flat otherwise it will stretch too much.
Washing in a washing machine is not recommended.
Some people like to felt the plaid a little because it gives less fluff. You can do this yourself by dampening a plaid (or other work) on both sides with a plant spray and putting it in the dryer for a short time. Be careful not to let it dry longer than a few minutes and keep an eye on the process. Too hot and too long can cause your workpiece to shrink and/or harden.
