A Robinson & Wood, 'Venetian Scenery' Pattern, Green Transferware Plate (26.5 cms)

Date - 1832 - 1836

Description - A very striking green tranferware plate from this short-lived pottery. Central panel with rural Venetian scenery with moulded, indented rim with fruits and flowers

Condition - The decoration is extremely crisp and bright and apart from a 1 cm flake loss to the rim (see image) there are no discernible signs of cracks or losses

Backstamp - There is a green, printed 'Robinson & Wood' mark incorporating the pattern name 'Venetian Scenery'
