Shadow Self Original online Mixed Media Painting on 8x10 Canvas

Shadow Self was finished on January 15th 2021. She was made with charcoal, acrylic paint, and then oil paint on a 8x10 stretched canvas. When most people think of their shadow self they think of what is bad. But that's a misconception. Your shadow self is just the pieces of you that online you have hidden away. Yes some of it can be hard, getting through the thorns to her can be even harder. But when you do there is a so much beauty hidden there. The galaxies inside her are just the possibilities of what you will discover while going through the journey of getting her out of the thorns. You have surrounded her with thorns thinking it would be safer that way but finally letting her out is the true freedom.
