Scandinavian vintage glass is known for it's quality, style, and beauty.

Tapio Wirkkala always worked with his hands using knife and small axe. After drawing the design he made the first mold with wood. When finished the wooden mold used to make metal molds that was used by the profession glass blowers.

Tapio Wirkkala designed Ice Breaker - series in 1960.
This series was manufactured until 1970 at Iittala, Finland.

Ice Breaker bowl dish has a heavy bottom with three ice block embedded in the bottom.
The bowl part is thinner forming an exceptional wholeness.

Bowl stands approx. 5.5 cm (2'15") tall with a diameter of approx. 10 cm (4")
In good used condition with only small signs of use. No chips or cracks.
