He can conscientiously present the history to the public as authentic; and he hopes it will not be condemned by any intelligent and candid reader as wanting in fairness towards the opponents of the Puritans."

Some rubbing and light scratches to the marbled boards; scuffs to the board edges; surface tear at the upper-right corner of the back cover; worn corners; small tear at the top edge of the spine. The ribbon page marker is present but detached. The text pages are in terrific condition - clean and online white with no writing, stains or tears found; light foxing to the tissue paper over the frontispiece...no other foxing found. Tight binding. No loose pages. Crack at front hinge between the end papers. Overall in very good condition - buy with confidence!
