Description:

A rare Wedgwood Pottery jug in the "Toy Rabbit" pattern designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones.

Identifying Marks / Makers Marks:

Marked on the base as shown in the photograph, also has some impressed letters and numbers around the rim of the base.

Age / date of manufacture:

c1923. This pattern was only produced for a short time in the 1920's.

Size:

The jug measures 4 1/2" (11.5cm) tall and is 6 1/2" (16.5cm) from the handle to the spout. The jug is 3 5/8" (8.5cm) in diameter across the opening.

Condition:

The handle of the jug has been broken and glued back together. There is a semi-circular crack on the rim of the jug (about the width of a thumbnail). The jug online has all over clean crazing. The handle has been glued with animal gum so could be mended more sympathetically by a restorer.
