Online Vintage Whitehill Sterling Silver Enamel Australian Gouldian Finch Thimble

This thimble was made by the Whitehill Silver & Plate Company in Birmingham and is British hallmarked for Birmingham with a date letter for 1983 and has W S & P.

The thimble is enamelled and has a design of a Gouldian Finch or Lady Goulds Finch to the front. The motif is part of the enamel not painted on top.

We think there must have been a series of Australian birds released by online the silver workshop.

The thimble is 22mm tall and 18mm across the base.
