Gr 110 Victorian Vulcanite online Gutta Percha and Solid 18K Gold Mourning Pin and Watch Pin 19th Century

This is an uncommon Victorian mourning pin made from Gutta Percha or Vulcanite and enhanced with solid 18K gold. It measures 1 1/2 inches maximum diameter and is in very good condition. It almost seems to be a stylized Coptic cross topped with three circles that are normally associated with the trinity. The pin on the back is not gold and there is a watch hook.
Gutta Percha was invented in the 1840's in England and is a thermoplastic made from rubber that can be online heated and then molded or shaped.
