Personalized and engraved clamshell box is ideal for a design or art portfolio, photography, presentation, keepsake or personal items, it can be used as a photo album too. This listing has been made using black and red Buckram cloth with engraved text (Nautica- Bold font with hatching engraving).
Individually handmade to order, our clamshell boxes are made from 2mm book board and covered with high quality Buckram, standard book cloth, textured or plain colour paper. The design of the box is completely up to our customers, the size, depth and colour of the box can be designed and made to suit your needs.
We add an extra touch of personalisation to our items by engraving stainless steel plates with your choice of text and font which you can chose from our font chart. (Please see the photo gallery for our font chart as to what is available).
We use top quality materials with the wide range of colours and fonts for engraving which gives our customers the ability to fully personalise their folders that will be bespoke and individual to them.
SIZE
This listing is for a clamshell box that will comfortably fit standard A4 pages, however we can custom make to fit any size page. Unfortunately, the biggest size we can make is A2 folder with 4cm wall depth. For any smaller size folder, the depth can be made to suit your needs.
COLOUR
Please see our colour swatch in the photo gallery. If the size of the chart is hard to read, please contact us and we will send you a bigger file. There is no extra charge for having two colour, one for cover and one for the inner lining. However, please note that buckram cloth is durable and can be wiped clean so your bespoke items will last for many years to come, so we strongly recommend it as an outer cover. Our Standard range is tissue lined book cloth made with 100% rayon and is available in a large range of colours. This cloth has a nice texture and feel too, although this material needs a lot of care while handling, because once dirty it is really difficult to clean so it is best used in the lining.
TEXTURED, PATTERN & PLAIN HIGH QUALITY COLOUR PAPER
Textured and pattern paper selection offers a subtle shine that can add some luxury to your handcrafted products. (Butterfly- does not have any shine to it) It has good durability and is quite easy to take care of, although it can only be used for inner lining as it doesn't have enough flexibility for constant stress of opening the folder. We offer another great selection of plain high quality colour paper. It adds a nice feel to a folder, but needs to be handled with care as its almost impossible to clean.
Please note that some colours might appear slightly different on screen as every monitor has a different colour calibration and sometimes colours are not true to real life.
PERSONALIZED ENGRAVING
We can engrave stainless steel plates for your folder. Steel plates are standard 2.5 x 10cm size and have a shiny finish. Plates come in gold and silver colours. Your chosen font with personalized text will be centred and engraved on the plate. (Please see photo gallery for the font chart).
To choose the font please select the number from the font chart. It is very important that you send your personalized text to us with the chosen font number as well as the colour of the plate, over wise you order cannot be completed. We recommend to have the maximum of four words on the engraved plate as more words will lead to the small font sizes and will look like body text rather than title.
Before we engrave we will send the design to you for proofing, at this stage the size and font can be changed or adjusted. After this stage adjustments cannot be made. Please note that thinner fonts will be engraved as the line only and thicker fonts will be engraved by using hatching engraving (see this listing for example of hatching engraving).
HOW TO ORDER
Choose your colours (outside cover, inside lining), and add a note with your text for engraving, engraving plate colour and chosen font number before proceeding checkout. If you decided that you want a custom size folder, please add desired measurements in the same message as your text for engraving. Contact us for custom orders and we will quote the price.
HOW LONG TO WAIT?
Our lead time is to making your folder roughly in 1-2 weeks, but this might take longer depending on our work load. On top of this you should add a transit time, which in the UK is next day (Ups Courier) and international is 3-5 working days (UPS Couriers). We highly recommend to leave plenty of time for ordering.
