(Cincinnati OH, USA), it is marked “Quadruple Plate” and “Special Metal” (describing the Tin-based material upon which the silver is plated), along with the patent number “1844.” Unpolished, natural patina online left intact, so there's quite a bit of tarnish but no obvious signs of plate loss or dents. This is a gorgeous heirloom antique that will deliver the goods for centuries to come. Fill it with anything lovely and/or delicious (also non-acidic to protect the metal!) and gaze upon the mid-19th century splendor of these sweet grape bunches and flowing waves of smooth silvery goodness!
