Product code: Antique online Doll Steamer Trunk 1870s
For your consideration is a piece of history clad in zinc and wood. A decently preserved antique steamer "Doll" trunk that has been re painted on the exterior. Interior of trunk is original! Based on the fact the upper of the lock was made of leather and the patent date July 9 73 I'm assuming it was manufactured in the early 1870s. Leather handles and lock top are missing. The two outside locks still function (they latch the top down). Measures online 28 1/2 long, 16 1/2 wide and 21" tall. Initials MH or HW have been peened into the exterior of the lid.
