City of Athens Coin Ring. Famous Goddess Athena Greek double sided coin ring (1.6cm diameter and 1.8mm thick), with a copy of the ancient Athenian Tetradrachm silver coin of Goddess Athena which on the back side shows the famous owl of wisdom, symbol of Athena, it is made of Sterling Silver 925 that is designed and carefuly worked by me, and it will fit perfectly on your finger and at your exact finger size in all sizes even the halfs and the quarters and it can be made in any finish that you desire.
The finish of this Sterling Silver 925 ring can be highly polished, or partly oxidized dark with a fading vintage look, or matte (satin)
It can also be made in bronze.

This very famous Athenian coin, produced between 350 B.C. and 294 B.C., and reflects a transition from the Classical to the Hellenistic period of Greek art and coinage. Compaired to the previous ones, here Athena becomes even more human in response to changing attitudes about representation of the human form in Greek art. It was during this era that her eye was first depicted in-profile rather than facing the viewer. Planchets are more compact, and the owl of Athena has a larger head and slightly different proportions.

* The rings that are Sterling Silver 925 you can (and should) wear them as much as possible, but still they can be affected by salty air, chlorine, sulfur, humidity, cosmetics, and other chemicals, so in order to slow down tarnishing, clean your silver ring after wearing it. Oils from your skin or acidic ph of the skin also can start to oxidize them. Use warm water to wash your silver rings gently, and dry them with a soft cloth. You can also delay tarnishing by regularly polishing them. If it gets oxidized or dark you can use toothpaste (but not the whitening formula) and with a toothbrush you can rub it gently but dont use this on silverplated items, if you store your ring store it in a dry place with no humidity and sunlight.
* The rings that are plain brass and with no coating they can very easily get their shining back if you rub them with a used lemon and salt and clean them with water .
* Black Oxidized Bronze rings are made so that they get a beautiful vintage look even from the first days that you wear them as the black oxidation fades away by the natural use and soon they stay dark just on the parts that are deep in the design. This makes their vintage look so beautiful. Even if i give this option in all my listings, flat surfaces are not suitable for oxidized black becouse they will wear off and stay plain brass witch is nice too, but oxidation works well in detailed designs.
Althought, if you want your ring all black and stay black i can apply a metal lacker over the oxidation of the brass but i cant guaranty that it will last for long with scratches and hard use and thats why i promote more the fading by wear oxidation.
* Please note that for all rings that are not Sterling Silver 925, i suggest to apply a layer of transparent nail polish just on the inner surface of the shank of the ring.
