Evil Eye Copper online Bookmark

Having an evil eye item is believed to ward off evil. I like creating unusual items with eyes.

I wove this bookmark with six different wire weaves, which gives varying textures.

When I took a picture of this bookmark, some of the photos look like it is brass. It is a beautiful warm copper color.

I oxidized the copper to an exquisite patina, adding depth and contrast in online color in the metal. I then tumbled the bookmark with steel shot; this strengthens the piece and adds a high gloss to the copper.

One of my favorite features of the bookmark is the swirls that grace the end.
