A one of a kind 40s cap by New York Creations from my personal collection!
This 1940s Navy straw topper is made of circular patterns that flare upward on the sides and front to reveal beautiful faux pearl baubles and beading in white and silver. The side flaps are some what adjustable with some sort of wire on the inside, so you can turn them up more or less as desired!

Wear to a formal event, or dress her down with jeans or a day dress! Would be the perfect online “something blue” for a bride!

The pearls are a beautiful champagne hue
The beading is set on felt panels sewn to the raffia. This little cutie comes with a matching hat pin in back. The inside has a grosgrain hat band.

Classic 40s New York Creations label present, stating “adjustable” for hat size. It is very difficult to measure the circumference of this hat due to shape. Please see diameter measurements below, and. It's the hat is pictured on a 21 1/2” circumference head form. It is taped underneath to the top of the mannequin head since there is no hair to pin it down

Measurements:

5 3/4” across side to side opening (diameter)
Front to back 6” across opening (diameter)

One size fits most due to style

Condition: Very good vintage to excellent minus

A few loose threads inside the hat and one loose thread by the pearls on the left side flap; minor soiling to inside hat bands

Hat pin metal has some oxidation from age

The pearls move and slightly dangle as they are meant to. Some are looser than others, and one side of the hat has 11 pearls while the other has 12. All other beading appears to be intact

Due to some flexibility in the side panels, each side is slightly different (see pics) and can be shaped/manipulated
